The story
At a Peanut Butter Conspiracy concert in October 1966, Robbie Robison and his friend Michael Ney met up with guitarist Bob Seal and drummer Dallas Taylor and decided to form a group of their own. Despite Robbie and Bob both being guitarists, as well as Michael and Dallas both being drummers, they decided this unconventional set-up could work, bringing in vocalist Wanda Watkins to form The Garnerfield Sanitarium. The group briefly evolved into the Brain Train, releasing one 45 on Titan before signing with Elektra Records in early 1967, when they rebranded as Clear Light.
