Character

The story

Character is a heavy/power metal band from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, that was formed in 1984 under the name Salem (28). In 1988, the band (actually a studio project back then) changed its name to Character (6). Put together as a studio project in the 80s, the project became a real band in the 90s. Not to be confused with Character (5) from New York.

Founder and songwriter Chris Dunnett co-founded The Seventh Seal (3) in 1988, after the release of Character's "Running For Success" demo. After The Seventh Seal split up in 1991 Character returned for their self-titled demo.
