The story

Dave Mason is a drummer and photographer from Lafayette, Indiana. After playing drums in the punk bands TFH and Advance (3), he switched to guitar and became the main songwriter for hardcore punk band Scab (5). After playing around the Midwest for just over two years, the band parted ways. He would later join former Advance bandmates Pat McClimans and Zach Coles in the post-hardcore band Tramlaw. That band released an EP and full-length on Doghouse Records in the mid-90s, and enjoyed minor success touring the Midwest and East Coast. Following that, Dave and Pat joined up with other Lafayette musicians to form M.T. Rhoades. Once that project split, Dave started the country and western band Moonshine Mason and the Rot Gut Gang with M.T. Rhoades bandmates Kenny Redman and Jeff Clark (2), joining forces with vocalist Dustin Hopkins and pianist and songwriter Dave Smith.

Mason currently runs the photo studio IS Photographic and plays drums in the alternative/new wave band Ballistics.
