The story

Destiny's Child was an American girl group formed in Houston, Texas, in 1990. Through the contributions of its principal members—Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, and original members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett—the group is regarded as one of the most influential girl groups in popular music. Known for their vocal harmonies, stage performances, and themes of female empowerment, Destiny's Child played a central role in the girl group resurgence of the 1990s and the emergence of rap-singing, while helping shape contemporary R&B.
