The story

No relation to the Swedish Europe, this band was an off-shoot of the Dutch symphonic band Kayak.

Following the 1982 split, main man Ton Scherpenzeel and guitarist Johan Slager attempted to resurrect Kayak in a mainstream direction.

Bringing in bassist Bert Veldkamp who enjoyed a brief stint with Kayak in the mid-70s, vocalist John Philippo from Sfinx and ex- Kleptomania/Esperanto drummer Roger Wollaert, their early shows were played as Kayak, although Scherpenzeel decided a name change would be prudent as he believed the music was different.
