The story

Kill Sybil (Aka- Sybil) was a five piece lo-fi noise pop band from Seattle, WA. (active:1990-1994) They started out as "Sybil", but had to change their name after their first single to avoid legal trouble with a soul singer with the same name. Members: Tammy Watson - Vocals; Patty Schemel - Drums; Robin Peringer- Bass; Larry Schemel: Guitar & Dale Balenseifen: Guitar. Patty went on to Hole & every member went on to many other bands (too long of a list too mention). In 2014 Soul Jazz records included the song “Best” on the “No Seattle-Forgotten Sounds Of The Pacific Northwest Grunge Era 1986-1997” release. In 2025 Cherry Red included the song “Olympia” on the “You’re Not A Big Deal: Grunge, The U.S. Underground & Beyond 1984-1994” release.
