LCD Soundsystem is an American rock band formed in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York, by James Murphy. It comprises Murphy, Nancy Whang, Pat Mahoney (drums), Tyler Pope, Al Doyle, and Korey Richey. They have been signed to Murphy's label DFA Records since their inception, and signed to Columbia Records in 2016.
