Local White Bread

The story

Auburn, Alabama

Peter Spivak (Fur Lined Volcanoes), Mike Cooley (Drive-By Truckers) and Neal Goode (Easybake) first got together under the name Local White Bread in the fall of 1993 and toured the Southeast as an acoustic trio until 1997.

Just prior to recording Low Maintenance, four musicians joined the trio: Chris Groves (drums), Tom Meadows (sax, flute, harmonica), Steve Henry (bass) and Nancy Scott (vocals). Local White Bread toured as a seven-piece band until 1999.
