Producer and multi-instrumentalist Marley Carroll spent nearly four years perfecting his debut full-length LP, “melanaster,” a meticulously-crafted collection of melancholy pop songs that combines aesthetics from genres as diverse as indie rock, hip-hop, IDM, shoegaze, “world” music traditions (Indian, Middle Eastern, Balinese) and free jazz.
From Last.fm, written by its listeners.
Beyond the records: books, other lives and interviews.

Is a record missing?
Records by other artists with Marley Carroll in the credits, from the song and record credits of MusicBrainz and Discogs. Their own bands are above.
Playlists with Marley Carroll in them: Sonic Architects selections and Pause & Record tapes from linr listeners, Deezer’s editors and curators, radio shows on Mixcloud and ListenBrainz playlists. Every tile opens on linr first, with the original one link away.
Where the listeners of ListenBrainz, Last.fm and Deezer agree, with the circle of Marley Carroll’s own bands. A source that names other people with the same name is left out.
When Marley Carroll plays on your computer, linr shows the story of the song as it plays, on any screen: the record and its date, who plays on it, related artists, concerts ahead. Spotify, Apple Music, Plexamp, YouTube, any player. Free, no ads.
