The story
Please were formed in Bristol by Peter Bailey (vocals) Matthew Bennett (guitar), Roger Power (bass) and Dave Burbidge (drums), with Toby Pascoe (Drums) and Duck (Keyboards). The group signed to Arista Records. They recorded an album in Boston with American record producers and . Unhappy with the results however, the band were dropped by the label after releasing the single, .
When Arista kept Please's singer under contract, Bennett stepped into the lead vocalist role. The band added drummer Andy Nixon and re-christened themselves .
