NOT to be confused with US hip hop producer Spontane (2).
Spontane ("high energy experimental hip-hop"), was a French-American collective that emerged in the New York underground scene in 2002. Made up of five French musicians and one American MC, it combined hip hop, electronic music, broken beats, and rock in a psychedelic atmosphere. After playing and touring extensively in different well known and underground venues, parties, festivals in New York, Amsterdam and all over France, opening/supporting numerous international groups/artists (Senor Coconut, Buena Vista Social Club, Sergent Garcia, LKJ...), the band relocated to France in 2004 (which resulted in some lineup changes). Early 2005, SPONTANE signed up a deal with the Parisian Label, Dad Records, to record and release their first album, "God is dead in Good Luck City".
